HONOR CLEMSON UNIVERSITY’S International Center for Automotive Research AT THE 18TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL LUNCHEON
(GREENVILLE, SC) – The law firm of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. will honor the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) with the 2010 International Economic Development Award at the Greenville Chamber’s 18th Annual International Luncheon Tuesday, May 18, at the Embassy Suites in Greenville.
Clemson’s Vice President for Research and Economic Development Chris Przirembel will accept the award. Instrumental in the founding of CU-ICAR, Przirembel plans to retire this June after 29 years of service to Clemson University. CU-ICAR Director Bob Geolas will join Przirembel, Greenville Mayor Knox H. White, and Managing Director of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, Anne Ellefson, at the award presentation.
The event will be held on May 18th in the Embassy Suites Conference Center at 670 Verdae Boulevard. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. The program and lunch start at 12:00 noon. Cost per ticket is $35 for Chamber members, or $50 for non-Chamber members. International companies, defined as those owned by a parent located outside the United States, will receive two complimentary tickets. This is the 8th International Economic Development Award presented by Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A., Previous recipients include the South Carolina State Ports Authority, South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center, Greenville Technical College, BMW Manufacturing Co., Michelin North America, Upstate SC Alliance, and Fluor. Both BMW and Michelin were initial partners of CU-ICAR.
