It's no surprise Upstate South Carolina produces high-quality products. With a workforce of more than 650,000 and a low unionization rate, the Upstate has some of the nation's most productive employees.

The Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC), which comprises the Department of Medical Genetics at Self Regional Healthcare, has been awarded a 2-year grant from The Duke Endowment to fund an expansion of Next-Generation Gene Sequencing (NGGS) technology.
