Clemson gets $2 million pledge for genetics chair, center

Clemson University has received a $2 million pledge for an endowed chair in human genetics, but the donor is asking that the money be matched to create the position.
In a statement, the Self Family Foundation said it wants to develop the Greenwood Genetics Center as a magnet campus that will attract health-realed industries with an education and research component similar to the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research in Greenville.
