Succeeding in the Upstate

BMW
The German automaker's 4-million-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility employs around 5,000 and produces the X5 and the X6 models. The Upstate is also home to the Performance Center and the Information Technology Research Center (ITRC).

Michelin
The French tiremaker has a substantial footprint in the Upstate, with its North American headquarters, research and development facilities, a 3,300-acre test track, and five manufacturing plants.

Timken
A leader in friction management and power transmission products, Timken has four facilities in the Upstate: three manufacturing plants, and a distribution center.
