Kirchner Konstruktionen GmbH (Kirchner), a German company that specializes in the planning, design, simulation and commissioning of equipment for the automotive sector, is establishing its first U.S. operations in Greenville County under the name Kirchner Design Inc. The company is investing more than $1 million in the project, creating 30 new jobs over the next five years.

Established in 1990, Kirchner is headquartered in Weingarten, Germany and operates three subsidiaries in its home country. The company also owns a 50 percent share in T-Mech Engineering, a Slovak engineering firm based in Trencin. With high-technology and high-efficiency operations, Kirchner utilizes a blend of expertise in CAD software to design specialized equipment solutions and on-site robot programming to automate the production lines.

The company’s Upstate operations will be located in the historic Kent Court Building, at 25 East Court Street, Suite 202, in downtown Greenville. As Kirchner’s first U.S. operations, this facility will effectively serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters, allowing Kirchner to meet the increasing demand of its American customers.

Fully operational since July 2015, hiring for new positions is currently underway. Those interested in joining the Kirchner team should contact [email protected]. For more information on the company, visit www.kirchner-des.com.
