Company expands testing facility as part of expected $2.5 million, five-year investment in plant

ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) announced today that it is expanding its manufacturing operations in Oconee County by investing approximately $1 million to build a new test facility. The investment is part of a total of $2.5 million that the company expects to invest in the facility over the next five years.

Located at 105 Commerce Way in Westminster, S.C., the expansion of ITT’s operations in Westminster features a new specialized testing facility for natural gas vehicle (NGV) components, which are part of the company’s highly engineered Conoflow brand of products. These NGV components consist of compressed natural gas pressure regulators and liquid natural gas regulators for heavy vehicles.

This facility has been part of the Westminster community since 1979 when the former Compact Air Products relocated to the area. Compact later became part of International Motion Control, which was subsequently acquired by ITT in 2007. In 2011, ITT consolidated its Conoflow brand of products into the Westminster operation.
