Liberty Property to construct speculative industrial building in Spartanburg County

May 31, 2013

Liberty Property Trust will break ground next month on a speculative industrial building in Greer.

A.L. Industries Inc., a manufacturer of filters for the automotive and heavy duty industry, has signed a lease for 52,000 square feet of space in the 156,000-square-foot facility. A.L. Industries announced plans in April to invest $3.6 million and create 80 jobs in Spartanburg County.

The Class “A,” multitenant warehouse will be in Caliber Ridge Industrial Park at 110 Caliber Ridge in Greer, across from BMW at Interstate 85 and Highway 101.

“During the last 18 months, there has been significant absorption of industrial space across the region and almost no supply of Class ‘A’ product remains, which has presented Liberty with tremendous opportunity,” said Massie Flippin, vice president and city manager for Liberty’s Carolinas region, in a news release.
