SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), a leading distributor of IT products and services with its U.S. distribution headquarters in Greenville County, announced today that the company will expand its existing facility with a 40,000-square-foot addition to accommodate its growing workforce.  The $6.5 million expansion will allow the company to hire 150 additional full-time associates to address the fast-paced growth of the company.

Established in 1980 in Fremont, Calif., SYNNEX opened its Greenville office in 1998 with 25 associates.  Today, the company employs more than 1,250 associates in Greenville County between its U.S. Distribution headquarters and its subsidiary Concentrix’ offices.  Worldwide, the $13.84 billion technology giant employs more than 55,000 associates in 25 countries.

SYNNEX holds its annual conference in Greenville, bringing in more than 1,700 attendees from leading IT companies such as HP, Lenovo and Intel from across the US and Canada.  In addition, the company’s philanthropic effort, SYNNEX Share the Magic, has raised more than $3.6 million for local children’s charities since its inception in 2011.  SYNNEX has also been the presenting sponsor of the BMW Charity Pro-Am for the past six years.
