VELUX expanding Greenwood County operations

VELUX, a world leader in skylights and roof window manufacturing, is expanding its Greenwood County operations. The company intends to invest $4 million and create 21 new jobs as a result of the expansion.
 
Celebrating 75 years in business, VELUX provides skylights and roof windows through home centers, building material suppliers, lumberyards and independent door, window and roofing retailers. The company also provides a complete catalog of blinds, electronic accessories, solar panels and shades.
 
Located at 450 Old Brickyard Road in Greenwood, S.C., VELUX will be adding a new line of products targeting the industrial and commercial skylight business. Hiring for the new positions is projected to begin in the first quarter of 2017.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has committed a $100,000 grant to Greenwood County to be used toward the costs of building upfit.
