Greenwood Genetic Center, Clemson to partner in 17,000-square-foot genetic research and education center

After nearly eight years of discussions, planning, maneuvering and negotiating, it appears a landmark project between Clemson University and the Greenwood Genetic Center is set to move forward.

Clemson, in conjunction with the Genetic Center, will construct a 17,000-square-foot genetic research and education center adjacent to the Genetic Center. The Clemson facility will be built on just less than 15 acres – donated by Greenwood County and the Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works – within the Greenwood Research Park.
